EF English First Kayun

At EF English First – Surabaya Kayun, we have a unique service called English Plus (E+). E+ is a free service for active students. It offers students a chance to study more outside of their regular classes.It is a private tuition class, where the student is given extra help or teaching on any given topic or language point. E+ is available Monday to Friday 13:30 to 21:00.

How do I join E+?

1. You may be recommended by your EF Kayun teacher, to revise a particular language point or develop a language skill.
2. You can sign up yourself, please fill in the E+ booking form below or contact EF English First Surabaya Kayun on (031) 5340071.
3. By your parents, parents can recommend their child for E+. If you would like you child to study materials from school, please make sure you bring this to EF Surabaya – Kayun, so the teacher can prepare the class using the materials supplied. Please note it is only possible to make one booking at a time. Please fill in the E+ booking form below.

You will be contacted 24 hours before your E+ class to confirm that you will attend. Please contact EF English First – Surabaya Kayun 24 hours before your class if you are unable to attend.

• Level – The level you are currently studying. (e.g. Level 3 or Trailblazer 1A2)
• Focus – What skill you would like to focus on (e.g. Writing or Speaking)

EF Kayun supports the local Surabaya Orphanage with donations and gifts. During the fasting month of Ramadan, several teachers and staff went to the orphanage to break the fasting at sunset with the orphans. Please view the photos below.

Karena di bulan Ramadhan akhirnya EF Kayun memutuskan untuk membuat life club buka bersama dengan anak yatim. Acara ini diadakan pada tanggal 6 October dan melibatkan guru, staff dan siswa. Acaranya pukul 16.00 – 19.00 WIB. Bagi para siswa yang ikut buka bersama wajib membayar min Rp 20.000 dimana uang ini ½ untuk siswa buka puasa dan ½ untuk sumbangan anak yatim. Acaranya sangat menarik karena banyak guru bule yang ikut (Amanda, roger, arron, marriam) dan guru local (ms. Yuyun, ms. Yannik, ms. Dita, Ms. Ninit (ex teacher Kayun)). Staff-nya ada fanny dan Max. Kita buka puasa di Panti Asuhan Arif Rahman Hakim dan buka bersama dengan 50 anak panti. Disana kita bawa balon, hadiah2, donat, nasi box, dan ice cream. Saat tiba disana kita perkenalan dulu dengan anak panti, games2 dengan guru dan anak- anak panti (saat games anak2 sangat bersemangat karena selain mendapatkan hadiah2 seru, mereka juga bisa bermain dengan guru native), buka bersama (takjil) makan donat dan minum teh kotak, sholat maghrib berjamaah, makan bersama (nasi box) dan makan ice cream, dan yang terakhir ngobrol dan berfoto bersama. Acara social ini memang sangat menyentuh hati kita semua. Karena kita bisa melihat, ternyata di dunia ini masih banyak anak- anak yang kurang beruntung. Karena mereka tidak mempunyai orang tua dan serba kekurangan. Dengan kita berkunjung di Panti Asuhan mungkin bisa sedikit menghibur hati anak2 panti asuhan. Thank yach semua atas suksesnya acara ini.

Following the horrific earthquake that struck the greater area of Jogjakarta, EF Kayun launched an appeal for emergency supplies and food. Over 10 million rupiahs worth of money, aid and donations were raised. A group of EF Kayun staff travelled to Klaten, a small town outside of Jogjakarta to deliver aid to the victims. Further aid was donated via the Indonesian Red Cross and Red Crescent. Please view the photos below.
